Former Celebs Go Dating love coach Nadia Essex has announced that she is pregnant with her first baby.
The 37 year old TV star has confirmed that she is set to become a mum for the first time and is overjoyed by the news as she thought that she couldn’t have children.
Nadia is keeping the identity of her baby’s father a secret, with the pair no longer in a relationship.
She told Closer magazine: “I’ve gone from a hellish year to being blessed with a baby.
“The odds weren’t in my favour, as for so long I thought I couldn’t have children – so this is the best thing that’s ever happened to me. It’s a miracle!”
Nadia added: “I had tried for a baby ten years ago with a previous partner, with no success.”
Nadia is 14 weeks pregnant and revealed that she had stopped taking her contraceptive pill but was still using protection when she conceived.
She said: “My doctor told me there was less than one per cent chance of conception. Everyone’s shocked, but I wouldn’t change a thing!”
The Celebrity Coach Trip star is no longer in a relationship with the father of the baby and was hoping to avoid the “stigma against single mums.”
She said: “I still think there’s a real stigma against single mums and internet trolls may use that label against me.
“My baby’s dad lives in America and he wants to be involved, so we’ll find a way to co-parent and communicate.
“I have a great support system and a very honest relationship with my family.”
Nadia – who slammed Amber Gill during Love Island – had hinted at her exciting news on Instagram as she shared a smouldering selfie of herself.
She wrote: “The comeback is ALWAYS stronger than the setback. Tomorrow, Closer Magazine, my news goes public!!! Grab a copy. Would love to hear your thoughts @makeupbymikey.”
In another post, Nadia shared a quote which read: “I landed on my back. Tomorrow, I come back.”
Fans were excited for Nadia, as one person wrote: “Can’t wait to see your news I’ll pick up a copy . You look absolutely stunning. wowzers.”
Another said: “Can’t wait huni. Looking gorgeous”, while a third wrote: “I didn’t even realise it’s you!!!!! Congratulations on your next adventure in life you will smash it my darling xx.” [sic]
Nadia has been working away from TV screens for some time, with her recently announcing that she is planning on launching her own dating show to rival Love Island.
The dating expert said the show would be for regular people, who are looking for love and not fame.
Nadia told The Daily Star that the show currently has the working title of Nadia’s Love Mansion.
She said: “I’d just have normal people with normal jobs – no influencers or models, and if you’ve got over 50,000 social media followers you wouldn’t be allowed to apply.
“I’d also want to film the whole process, including the aftercare, so viewers can see it all for themselves.
“I’m brainstorming ideas at the moment.”
Writing on her Twitter, Nadia expanded on her plans, saying: “Thank you @Daily_Star for this amazing spread in today’s paper. I’m really passionate about this project so any producers, channels, people want to get involved feel free to reach out and let’s find REAL people real love #nadiaslovemansion.”
Nadia was a dating expert on Celebs Go Dating from 2016 to 2018. She was suspended from the show for reportedly trolling her former co-host Eden Blackman on social media.
