TV personality Charlotte Crosby, 29, has opened up about how she felt before moving in with boyfriend Joshua Ritchie, 25.
The former Geordie Shore star candidly admitted she was “scared” to make the commitment to her beau in an honest post after retuning to her hometown of Newcastle to visit friends and family.
Charlotte posted a photo of her boyfriend Joshua stood with her two “nanas” and gushed about the weekend she just spent at home.
She wrote alongside the photo: “What an amazing weekend I’ve had at home.”
Charlotte then revealed: “Moving away was actually a really really scary decision for me, I’m incredibly close to my family and friends.
“And the thought of them not being around the corner made me so sad.”
She added: “I’ve made such a huge commitment to josh and he has honestly been so amazing through this all, he’s been there for me in ways I never even realised he could be, he’s been a knight in shining armour looking after me and making sure every step of the way I’m ok.
“The truth of the matter is I’m only a short drive away and coming home feels even more special now.
“This weekend I’ve had family time and friend time and I’ve smashed some of my first MAID OF HONOUR DUTIES Great success.” [sic]
Charlotte and Love Island’s Joshua moved into their new pad together in August. After taking the next step in their relationship, she spoke of plans to have “babies” with her boyfriend in the future.
Sharing a photo of the couple on her Instagram, the Geordie reality star gushed about their relationship in the caption which said: “Cheers to the next chapter Celebrating the fact we get the keys to our little home together in 2 days.
“I CANT BELIEVE IM GUNNA LIVE WITH A BOY,” she said with a shocked emoji and then commented: “NEXT STOP BABIESSSSSSSSS,” hinting that she’s feeling broody.
This isn’t the first time Charlotte has dropped a hint about having children with Joshua, she revealed at the end of 2018 she wanted to have children with the Ex On The Beach star as early as next year.
She said at the time: “Having a family is one thing in life I really want – I’ve done so much with my life already, and becoming a mum is my dream.”
But, Charlotte has struggled with moving in with Joshua and got emotional as she discussed her decision to leave her Newcastle mansion in a chat on Celebs Go Dating.
Speaking to dating expert Anna Williamson, 38, about how she felt about the move, she said: “It is a big deal and sometimes I don’t think he [Josh] recognises how much of a big deal it is. “Like, I’ve got three dogs, I would love to bring one of them with us and he just won’t let us.
“I’m moving away from everyone I love and I think I should have one of the dogs with us. I feel like that’s a comfort thing for me.”
Anna then asked Charlotte if she really wanted to move to Bolton, the reality star then got tearful and said: “Yeah. I want to be with him and I feel excited about starting afresh”.
Charlotte said living alone in her mansion is “lonely” and said: “I don’t know. Being in a huge house everyone says to us why would Charlotte want to leave that huge house to go and live in Bolton in a little house.
“It’s because the huge house is lonely. It’s empty and it’s not a good place to be when you’re just on your own.“
Charlotte and Joshua were rumoured to be dating at the beginning of 2018, shortly after Charlotte’s bitter split with Stephen Bear.
The couple went public with their romance in February 2018 when Charlotte posted a cute winter snap of the pair and simply captioned the photo with the date.
Their relationship was on the rocks when Charlotte admitted to flirting with and kissing another man in Australia in April 2018, but, the pair continued their romance and have gone from strength to strength ever since.
The couple exclusively revealed their plans to move in with one another in a chat with OK! online in December 2018.
At the time, Charlotte said at the time: “I’m hoping that we’ll move in with each other in 2019 – but I don’t wait for New Year to make resolutions, I do them every day!”
And that New Year resolution came true in August when the pair got the keys to their first pad together.
