Emmerdale’s Asan N’Jie will ‘get down on his hands and knees’ and ask for a second chance following shock brawl with Jamie Lomas

Emmerdale actor Asan N’Jie is reportedly ready to “get down on his hands and knees” and “plead for a second chance” from ITV bosses following his shocking row with Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas.

The soap star, 25, was seen threatening to “kill” Jamie, 44, in shocking footage from Monday night’s TV Choice Awards at London’s Park Lane Hilton hotel.

According to reports, Asan’s career is now hanging in the balance as he prepares to meet with show bosses to discuss his future after the brawl with Jamie, in which he was seen being held back from security guards after threatening to “knife” him.

Asan N’Jie is reportedly ready to ‘beg’ show bosses for forgiveness following his row with Jamie Lomas

A source told The Sun: “Asan is beside himself with worry. To quote him he’s in ‘absolute bits’.

“He knows that his career in Emmerdale could be over. He’s someone at the centre of a knife crime storyline who has threatened to stab a fellow actor.

“It doesn’t get more serious than that. He will get down on his hands and knees and plead for another chance.”

The insider continued: “He says he’ll do anything to avoid the sack – go into schools and the community to get anti-knife crime campaigns across to kids. He just wants a second chance and to be forgiven for his foolishness.”

Asan — who plays Ellis Chapman in the hit ITV soap — has been heavily involved in a stabbing storyline, and according to The Mirror in a video they obtained is heard telling Jamie he will “knife” him in the shocking video.

According to The Mirror, Asan, who appeared to be drunk at the event, is heard saying: “Do you think you are a f**king big man? I’m going to f**king kill you. I will kill you, I will knife you.”

The publication also reports the pair had to be pulled away from each other twice by security, while Jamie’s Hollyoaks co-star Malique Thompson-Dwyer also stepped in to separate them.

The I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star is seen telling Asan: “It’s not that type of party, bro. It’s not that kind of party, man.”

Another voice yells: “It’s only a TV Choice Award,” as Malique guides Jamie away from the area.

Speaking to The Mirror about the incident, Malique said: “I told him to relax. I told him ‘This isn’t that kinda party. It’s the TV Choice Awards.'”

ITV have now revealed they are launching an investigation into the brawl, with a spokesperson for the broadcaster saying they are planning to discuss the brawl with Asan “in due course.”

They said: “We are extremely concerned to hear about an incident at last night’s TV Choice Awards involving one of Emmerdale’s cast.

“Obviously we will be investigating and talking to the actor concerned in due course.”

A source told The Sun of the brawl: “Jamie was enraged by the sarcastic dig which seemed to come out of nowhere and was completely unprovoked.

“It was a real flashpoint which left fellow cast members shocked and one or two people remarking on how it was like a scene from a soap opera.

“The bust up was only stopped from escalating as Malique quickly stepped in to defuse the situation and calm Jamie down.”

Asan has not addressed the situation on his social media, with his only upload from the night being a picture with Love Island star Ovie Soko.

He was nominated for Best Newcomer at the ceremony, but lost out to EastEnders star Kara-Leah Fernandes.

However, Asan did get his hands on a gong as Emmerdale picked up Best Soap, beating Hollyoaks as well as EastEnders and Coronation Street.
