Lucy Mecklenburgh and Lyda Bright have posed for a matching baby bump photo after they both announced they’re expecting their first child.
Lucy, who announced she’s expecting a baby with fiancé Ryan Thomas on her 28th birthday on Saturday, flaunted her blossoming baby bump for the first time since her happy announcement.
Lydia, who revealed her pregnancy last week, is also expecting a baby with former boyfriend Lee Cronin, but the couple have sadly split.
Taking to Instagram, former TOWIE star Lydia, 29, shared a gorgeous snap of herself and Lucy standing side-by-side as they both cradle their bumps.
Wearing a stunning lace red dress, brunette beauty Lucy looks over the moon as she poses for the snap with her best friend, who looked gorgeous in a leopard print dress.
Lydia emotionally captioned the image: “We have experienced a lot together but I have a feeling this is going to be our favourite adventure ……… #5DaysApart #DoubleTrouble.”
Former The Only Way Is Essex star Lydia split from Lee in January after meeting in 2017.
They reunited in April but have since split once again. The reality TV star fought back tears as she thanked fans for their support following her pregnancy announcement, as she took to Instagram to share an emotional video.
Addressing fans in the tear jerking video, Lydia told her one million Instagram followers: “I just wanted to film this video before I rush out the door. It has taken me days to go through all of my comments, all of my DMs, my WhatsApps, my texts…
“I was so excited, obviously, to share the news with the world, but I was also really nervous because I was very honest…I am one of these people that strives for perfection, and maybe it’s not the fairytale that I imagined at the moment in these circumstances.
“I was nervous about opening up and sharing that with the world, and I just want to say I’m so grateful,” she continues as her voice begins to crack.
Apologising, she adds: “Sorry, I’m breaking because I’m hormonal. I’m so grateful for all the messages of support that I’ve received because I was so nervous it was gonna be perceived badly. I don’t know why, I’m one of these people that just worry, worry, worry, but everyone has been amazing.
“The DMs from women, like, the power of sisterhood, like, the women that have been in similar circumstances have just been amazing, so inspirational, so uplifting, all I wanna say from the bottom of my heart is thank you so much for being so kind and showing me so much love and making me so strong.”
She finished her emotional message: “I cannot wait for the rest of my pregnancy and to share this journey with you, so thank you.”
Lydia’s former TOWIE co-stars were quick to congratulate their friend after she made her announcement at the weekend, with Georgia Kousoulou writing: “YASSSS FINALLY I CAN SAY IT OUT LOUDDDDDDDDD !! love you so much and here with you every STEP OF THE WAY SOOO EXCITED AND PROUD OF YOU!!!!!! you are gonna be the best mummy.
