Michelle Keegan has revealed her frustration over being quizzed on when she will become a mother and have her first child with husband Mark Wright.
The actress, who tied the knot with the former TOWIE star in 2015, hit back over assumptions that she should be having children soon because she’s 32.
The former Coronation Street star revealed how she’s constantly being bombarded on when she will have a child, saying: “People don’t know if we’re trying.”
Michelle told The Sun: “It’s horrible. It’s like, ‘You’re 32. Are you not planning to have a baby yet?’ People don’t know if we’re trying.
“They don’t know the background of what’s happening. It’s no one else’s business. In this day and age you shouldn’t ask questions like that.”
The Our Girl star continued: “I get so frustrated. I’m asked purely because I’m a woman. But I’m immune to it now – it’s like a reaction and as soon as I hear it I brush it off, as it’s no one else’s business.”
Michelle’s comments come after she enjoyed a romantic getaway with husband Mark, with the couple looking more loved-up than ever during the holiday.
Sharing no shortage of snaps from the idyllic holiday, Michelle flaunted her incredible figure as she posed for bikini snaps on the sun-soaked trip to Ibiza.
Making the most of their time together, the married couple have headed to Ibiza where they have partied amongst their friends, as well as making time for some rest and relaxation.
Despite usually remaining relatively private when it comes to their relationship, the pair have kept fans up to date on their antics on social media.
In one snap, they posed for a couple’s picture looking more loved-up that ever during a day pool party, while in another, Michelle unveiled her phenomenal bikini body.
In March, Michelle opened up about her relationship in a honest and candid interview.
Talking the The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine, the actress revealed: “I know there’s interest but I just thought: ‘I’m not feeding it any more,” as she explained her reasons for pulling back from the public eye – after she posted the first photo of her and Mark together on her Instagram in two years last month.
She continued: “And by stopping that, we’ve taken back control. Massively. It was relentless every week – especially because we lived away from each other.”
Meanwhile Mark previously revealed how it would be his dream to one day become a father as he opened up on trying for a child.
He told The Sun: “We say we’re going to try [for a baby] every year but something comes up with work.
“So it’ll be Michelle filming in South Africa and then I got the job in Los Angeles – so we think, right, we’ll try next year.
“It’ll be around December or January, we’ll talk about it and we’ll go from there.”
Michelle agreed that she would definitely want children in the near future, as she told fans: “We’ve not planned anything and realistically nothing can happen right now because I’m too busy, but I’ve always been broody.
“I love kids and I want four, so hopefully in the near future.”
