Love Island 2016 winners Cara De La Hoyde, 29, and Nathan Massey, 27, are backing Ovie Soko, 28, to win this year’s series by himself.
While exclusively speaking to OK! after returning from their Crete honeymoon, the couple say islander Ovie has “saved the show”.
Nathan said: “I still think Molly Mae [Hague] and Tommy [Fury] will win, but Ovie should just win it by himself!”
It seems Nathan, who revealed plans to have another baby after marrying Cara , isn’t the only one who thinks Ovie should win it alone.
Multiple online petitions have been set up by Love Island fans, who are desperate to see Ovie bag the £50K cash prize by himself, which would be a first for the show.
Nathan added: “There was no one with any personality or banter until he came in.”
But, Cara and Nathan haven’t got as much faith in some of the other islanders.
“I’m not buying into Maura [Higgins] and Curtis [Pritchard] one bit,” he said, adding: “I don’t think they’re into each other.”
Cara added: “I can’t put my finger on it but I don’t trust Curtis. I don’t think he’s being himself.
“It’s cringe when he talks about sex. I think him and Maura say things for a reaction.”
It seems Cara and Nathan aren’t the only one’s who aren’t sold on Maura and Curtis’ romance, Curtis’ best friend has also insisted him and Maura won’t work on the outside world.
Speaking to OK! magazine, Curtis’ childhood friend Chloe said: “I can tell Curtis is into Maura. I’m starting to warm to them, but I’m not convinced their relationship will work on the outside.”
The newly married couple also reflected on their own time in the villa in 2016.
Nathan said: “You spend a lot of time in that villa so you have to make things happen.
“I used to play pranks on everyone. I used to draw on people’s faces when they were napping and I put cling film on the toilet. One of the girls ended up seeing all over herself!”
