Rylan Clark-Neal, 30, has dropped a huge hint that Big Brother could be returning to our screens for its 20th birthday next year.
The former Big Brother’s Bit On The Side host hinted that the iconic reality TV series could be “back and bigger than ever” next year.
Tweeting alongside a video of himself shooting a confetti cannon into the camera, Rylan told fans: “Today [Thursday 18 July] is @bigbrotheruk 19th birthday.
“Let’s hope for it’s 20th he’s back and bigger than ever. Happy Birthday.”
Big Brother fans lapped up the idea of a revival. “Get all the previous winners in tk do a king of Kings series!” [sic], one said, replying to Rylan’s tweet.
“So right Rylan. We all want Big Brother back,” another added.
While a second wrote: “I’m sure it’ll be back for it’s 20th! It’s just having a gap year. [sic]”
This isn’t the first time Rylan has spoken about bringing the show back.
The TV personality told Bang Showbiz: “I’m adamant Big Brother will return, when and where I don’t know but I won’t rest until it does.
“I think Celebrity Big Brother is one of the most important shows on TV because we get to see people for who they really, really are and you’ve only got to look at.
“You’ve only got to look at the events over the last seven years, and how it has changed the perception of people who are genuinely really nice and people who actually aren’t.”
And Rylan, who won series 11 of Celebrity Big Brother, isn’t alone in hinting at a comeback for the iconic reality series.
In January this year, Big Brother’s narrator Marcus Bentley, 51, hinted at a comeback for the show after sharing a photo of himself in the narrator’s booth.
And, in November 2018, the show’s former host Emma Willis, revealed the show’s bosses were in talks about bringing the show back.
In an interview on This Morning, Emma said: “I have asked, and they have said ‘we are talking to people’. “People are non committal, but if it happens … in a perfect world, it would be amazing.”
