Meghan Markle, 37, and Prince Harry, 34, have lead royal family and fans in wishing Prince George a happy sixth birthday.
The Duke and Duchess commented on one of the three new adorable photos released of Prince George on Instagram earlier today .
The message from the couple, who welcome their first child Archie in May, said: “Happy Birthday! Wishing you a very special day and lots of love!” The message came alongside a balloon and cake emoji.
The birthday message notably doesn’t use the little prince’s name or title, after Meghan and Harry were criticised for being too ‘informal’ for not mentioning Charlotte and Louis’ titles in their birthday messages earlier this year.
Prince Phillip, 70, and his wife Camilla, 72, also wished Prince George a happy birthday on Instagram.
Sharing the three photos released by The Cambridges on their own Instagram page, the couple wrote in the caption: “A very Happy Birthday to Prince George, who turns six today.” The message was joined with a birthday cake emoji.
It wasn’t just the royals who sent birthday wishes to Prince George, who’s new photos more than 2.5million likes.
The England team’s official Instagram account also sent the young prince a birthday message as he was wearing an England football shirt in two of the snaps.
The message read: “Happy birthday, Prince George! Great choice of shirt.”
The two photos of George in the England shirt were taken by his mum at Kensington Palace.
Whereas the third photo was taken while away on a family holiday.
