Love Island fans spotted a brief moment where Molly-Mae Hague, 19, appeared to take a dig at Maura Higgins’ accent.
During Wednesday night’s episode of the reality series, fans noticed a conversation between Molly-Mae and other islanders after newbie Greg, 24, entered the villa.
Just after Greg met the contestants after his date with Amber Gill, 21, Molly-Mae and the some of the other islander sat down for a debrief on Amber’s date.
During the chat, Maura, who was also seen getting steamy with Curtis in the same episode , asked Amber: “Do you really like the Irish accent?”
Amber replied saying she “loved” it, while Molly-Mae then said: “On a guy it’s different.”
The remark was quick, but that didn’t stop beady-eyed viewers from pointing it out.
“‘You like the irish accent?!’ ‘It’s different on a boy’. Molly Mae you talk s**t,” one fan remarked. [sic]
“Molly Mae saying “it’s different with a man though” when talking about the Irish accent. So what you saying about Maura’s then?”, another added. [sic]
A third commented: “Molly Mae saying she likes Greg’s accent because it’s different on men, in front of Maura. Not a sound gal Molly is she.”
“Molly mae throwing absolute shade at Maura saying the Irish accent is different on a guy loool,” another viewer pointed out. [sic]
This comes just days after Molly, who is coupled up with Tommy Fury, 20, was once again accused by fans of having a game plan to win the show.
One fan tweeted: “Im starting to think molly-mae is playing a game, hear me out! she’s all happy gf w tommy, so theyre pretty much safe right! so she clearly felt threatened by belle and anton so she tried breaking them up by sayin u can do better etc after their argument.” [sic]
