After Joanna Chimonides was dumped from the island, her partner Michael Griffiths was left single and contemplating his future in the villa.
As Joanna was dumped by her fellow islanders, Michael said that he had found what he was looking for in her, but left her angry when he didn’t leave the villa with her.
Regardless, the firefighter has been adamant that he no longer has feelings for his former romantic partner, Amber Gill.
However, it looks as if he could be having a change of heart and reveal his true feelings on Wednesday night’s episode.
Speaking to the boys at the fire pit, Michael says that he “actively avoided Amber” because Joanna was in the villa.
Michael says: “Now that Joanna has gone, it has given me time to think about things. I’m not saying I don’t like Joanna, because I do.
“But I feel like because Joanna was there I actively avoided Amber.”
Jordan tells Michael: “I think if you did go back there, things would be so different.”
Another scene shows Michael speaking with Ovie by the pool, as he lets on that he may still have feelings for Amber.
Ovie offers Michael some advice as he says: “Don’t let your pride hurt you. Don’t fight yourself.”
Michael also speaks with Belle about Joanna, with Belle telling him that she’s unsure if Joanna will be waiting for him when he leaves the villa because he decided to stay on the show without her.
Belle says to Michael: “I don’t know if she’ll wait for you. I don’t know if she’ll be interested now, because you didn’t leave with her.”
Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2
