Love Island star Yewande Biala has revealed she’s “proud” she didn’t walk out of the villa despite a rocky few days.
The 23 year old scientist admitted she found it very difficult to find love on the ITV2 show, after she was dumped from the island when Danny Williams chose Arabella Chi to couple up with instead of her.
Now, Yewande has expressed her delight that she was able to leave the villa with her head held high.
She said: “It was really hard to stay and watch the person you like crack on with someone else but I came for an experience and to meet someone.
“Giving up, I would have let myself down. Unfortunately I was dumped but I was really happy I didn’t walk.”
Following her eviction, Yewande revealed she did not think Danny and Arabella will work, confirming: “I feel like if he does get to know her, it’s not going to work.
“There are so many factors – they’re so different, and the age gap. You have to be realistic.
“He’s just starting his life – he’s only 21. They are in two different phases of their lives. In the villa, it’s very easy to forget.”
Clearly worried about seeing Danny and Arabella’s romance blossom on screen, she also revealed it’s going to be hard to handle watching from the outside world.
“Being in the villa and seeing them get on was upsetting. I just can’t handle it,” she emotionally stated.
“It’s going to be hard. It’s like watching your ex.”
Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.
