Marnie Simpson and Casey Johnson have found out the sex of their unborn child – and it wasn’t what they were expecting.
The couple, who announced exclusively to OK! magazine they were expecting their first child together last month, threw a star-studded party so they could share the happy news at the same time as their close friends and family.
The extravagant event was attended by the likes of Holly Hagan, Lauren Goodger, Chloe Ferry and Sophie Kasaei and featured a stunning outdoor area, several cream-filled cakes and an entire wall of prosecco.
Filled with love for the happy couple, the guests could not stop smiling as they waited in anticipation for the big reveal – with Chloe Ferry even joking that she wished she could be the one to pull the cracker.
After mingling with their guests, the couple took to the stage to thank everyone for attending – before pulling a cracker which finally unveiled the sex of their baby.
The big reveal – which will be announced exclusively on OK! online tomorrow morning – left both Marnie and Casey jumping for joy. “I’m speechless right now,” revealed an overwhelmed Casey, while Marnie said: “I can’t believe it!”
“It blew my mind, in a good way. It’s just mad,” she added.
Meanwhile Marnie’s cousin Sophie told OK! magazine: “I’m just overwhelmed, I’m so happy – it still hasn’t hit us.”
Marnie looked stunning as she showed off her blossoming baby bump in a form-fitting white dress and matching heels, while Casey looked his dapper self in a pair of black trousers and suspenders over a white shirt.
Marnie and Casey revealed their big news in an exclusive interview with OK! magazine at the beginning of May.
And speaking about the labour, she said : “I’m really nervous. I can’t even talk about it, I get so scared.
“I’ll make sure I’ve got some lip gloss and eyeliner. I don’t want to be a mess!”
Her boyfriend Casey gushed: “I don’t think you’re ever ready until it happens, but we’re so excited. It feels amazing.”
