Mel B took to her social media pages earlier today admitting to technical issues during last night’s concert in Dublin.
The 43 year old posted a video clip of her in bed, saying: “Hey guys, thank you for attending our show tonight in Dublin.
“We will see you in Cardiff and hopefully the vocals and sound will be much better” before letting out an exasperated sigh.
Fans of the 90s girl group arrived in their thousands at Croke Park in Dublin last night for the first night of the highly-anticipated reunion tour.
Many arrived adorned in Spice Girls memorabilia, while others dressed up as their favourite Spice Girl.
And while many fans admitted it was one of the best concerts they’d ever been to, elated to see their favourite band back together again, some complained of bad sound in the gigantic venue.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Wat the heck is with d sound at the spice girls… cannot understand a word they are saying!”
While another added: “Sound is horrendous!!”
A third posted: “Sorry @spicegirls but we cannot hear a thing sitting here in @CrokePark – sound is awful!!!”
However, sources told the Mirror Online that there were no technical issues during the gig and any sound issues would have been down to it being a large venue.
And many, who were able to hear the mighty comeback, took to Twitter to air how amazing the concert was. “THEY’RE INCREDIBLE I CAN’T BREATHE #SpiceGirls,” wrote one.
While another added: “I cannot get over how good this is #SpiceGirls.”
During the concert, Geri Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton all wore incredible costumes authentic to their past as they stepped on stage in Ireland.
Scary Spice looked sensational in a full glitzy leopard-print catsuit, while Baby Spice looked angelic in a sassy short pink dress.
Meanwhile, Sporty Spice looked gym-chic in an electric blue studded sports ensemble, while Ginger Spice – complete with new ginger locks – wore a princess version of her famous Union Jack dress.
Posh Spice – Victoria Beckham – was not on stage after revealing she would not be joining the tour following their reunion announcement last year.
Speaking at the time, she said: “Today marks a special day for the girls as they announce the first tour dates since we performed together in 2012!
“I won’t be joining my girls on stage again but being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish them so much love and fun as they go back on tour next year.”
She added: “I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time! X vb #spicegirls #friendshipneverends.”
