A former star of The X Factor, Tracyleanne Jefford, is battling skin cancer, according to devastating reports.
Tracyleanne Jefford, 35, appeared on the hit ITV show in 2017, reaching the live shows.
It has now been claimed that the singer has been diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (BCC) — the most common type of skin cancer.
It is believed that Tracyleanne, who was mentored by Nicole Scherzinger on the talent show, will have an operation to have some of her nose removed.
A source told The Sun Online: “She was diagnosed with cancer on her face a couple of weeks ago.
“She’s got to go for another op in two or three weeks.
“They’ll basically take away parts of the nose and rebuild it.”
BCC can luckily be cured in almost every case and grows slowly, so it rarely spreads to other areas of the body.
However it can disfigure if left untreated – especially on the face.
Traceyleanne was a fan favourite on The X Factor, finishing in 13th place.
The mum-of-five later said of the show’s head judge: “Simon Cowell is a diamond.
“That man believed in me in the beginning and gave me that chance. He even come on stage [the night I was eliminated] and cuddled me and said, ‘you are what this show is about.’ Because I was myself.”
