Royal fans have shared a sweet video which seemingly shows Meghan Markle’s baby kicking during one of her final official engagements before she went on maternity leave.
The Duchess of Sussex is seen at the National Theatre in a video from January as she cradles her baby bump in a nude-coloured ensemble.
As the camera zooms in on Meghan’s blossoming bump while she places her hand on her stomach, the bump moves, with some speculating the baby is kicking.
The baby’s foot or hand leaves an imprint on Meghan’s dress, and shows her touching her stomach meaning she felt the movement herself.
One fan commented on the clip shared to @harry_meghan_updates: “We saw your little foot or hand! You’re a very active little one!”
It comes after Harry and Meghan, who are due to welcome their first child together in a matter of days, issued a statement regarding the arrival of their child.
A statement released on behalf of the couple announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not immediately announce the arrival of the baby.
It read: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby.
“Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private.
“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
This means the Duchess will likely not pose for a photo outside hospital after giving birth, and the hospital in which she has chosen will likely not be announced.
It was previously claimed that 37-year-old Meghan was favouring a home birth after leaving Kensington Palace for Windsor and moving into Frogmore Cottage with husband Harry.
