Emily Atack has paid tribute to Mya-Lecia Naylor, who has died at the age of 16.
The 29 year old starred alongside Mya-Lecia in the hit CBBC show Almost Never.
Mya-Lecia was also known for her role as Fran in CBBC’s Millie Inbetween, and made her TV debut in Absolutely Fabulous, playing Jennifer Saunders’ on-screen granddaughter, Jane.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Emily took to Instagram to share an image of Mya-Lecia with her 1.4million followers.
She wrote: “So shocked and sad to hear about lovely Mya-Lecia Naylor.
“She was a beautiful and talented girl. A complete joy to be around on the set of Almost Never.
“Sending all my love to her family & friends. Rest in peace beautiful girl.”
Another of Mya-Lecia’s co-stars, Lilly Stanion, wrote: “My heart is broken and words can not discribe how I’m feeling right now. I miss you and I love you so so much.”
Lola Moxom, who also stars in Almost Never, wrote: “I love and miss you so much gorgeous girl. I was so lucky to have had you in my life. I’m heartbroken.”
CBBC confirmed the death of the young star on Wednesday, writing: “We are so sorry to have to tell you that Mya-Lecia, who you will know from ‘Millie Inbetween’ and ‘Almost Never’ has, very sadly, died.
“Mya-Lecia was a much loved part of the BBC Children’s family, and a hugely talented actress, singer and dancer.
“We will miss her enormously and we are sure that you will want to join us in sending all our love to her family and friends.”
