The Only Way Is Essex legends James Lock and Yazmin Oukhellou were rumoured to have quit the popular ITV show earlier this year.
However, the show’s most talked about couple had never actually quit or been dropped from the show.
Lockie and Yaz were told to take some time away from the ITVBe show because the producers felt the pair’s personal wellbeing was more important than anything else.
Speaking exclusively to OK! online a source revealed: “When James and Yaz were first told that they needed to take a break they were angry and frustrated.
“However, now they’ve taken time away to work on themselves and their relationship they realise that they did need the break and that producers had their best interests at heart.
“Everyone wanted to ensure that they were in a strong enough place to cope with the show and when people need a break from filming it is strongly encouraged.”
The news of James and Yaz’s potential return screens comes after the old and new stars of The Only Way Is Essex celebrated the show at celeb hotspot Sheesh, in Essex.
As the new faces of the Essex-based reality show came face-to-face with the long-time stars of the ITVBe show, a staffer requested that they be warmly welcomed.
In an announcement at Sheesh, TOWIE staffer Sarah Tycliff pleaded to show stars: “Please remember that you were all the new kid once.
She added: “So please be nice to the newbies”.
In attendance at the bash are longtime stars including Georgia Kousoulou, Tommy Mallett, Chloe Sims, Dan Edgar and Pete Wicks.
