Shelby Tribble and Sam Mucklow came to blows on Sunday night’s The Only Way Is Essex.
Pete Wicks’ ex admitted to spending the night with Sam during the first episode, but was horrified to hear he was trying to “crack on” with Chloe Sims’ younger sister, Demi, just a day later.
The pair came to blows after Shelby confronted Billi Mucklow’s brother, before throwing a drink in his face – with Sam then branding her a “sl*g” in shocking scenes.
Speaking exclusively to OK! online, Shelby has now admitted the pair’s friendship might never recover from what happened in Thailand.
“It went from zero to a hundred,” she revealed. “We were very good friends. There was a lot of chemistry between us, but I always had my guard up.
“Don’t get me wrong I really fancy him, but I always knew that I wanted to keep it as a friend thing. We might have overstepped the mark, but it’s like – it’s all gone a bit t*ts up, and I don’t know if there’s any coming back from it.”
Shelby admits she felt “disappointed” over what happened – after breaking down in tears following their explosive row.
“I don’t want to hold grudges and stuff, but it was a big deal to me because he’s a friend,” she said. “He’s disrespected me and he’s disappointed me. It’s going to be a hard one to come back from, because it’s not just any old guy – he was my close friend.
“Outside of the show we all hang out together, so I’m just really sad that I’ve lost that now.
“We’re not on good terms. He’s going to have to do a lot… I really don’t trust him anymore. The friends that I have, it’s because I trust them. I’m not happy. That’s not what friends do.”
Shelby split with Pete Wicks last year – and has claimed he’s been her rock throughout any difficult times, despite them no longer being together.
“That’s the problem with this show. You can’t avoid your ex,” she said. “To be fair, he’s been an absolute gentleman and I can’t praise him enough. He’s been the shoulder to cry on, because he gets me and he knows my insecurities very well.
“He’s been amazing. I couldn’t ask for a better friend. Me and him don’t work out as a relationship, but I felt like he was my best friend… so it’s nice to have that back.”
The Only Way Is Essex starts on Sunday 17th March at 9pm on ITVBe.
