The Jeremy Kyle Show viewers were left angered after a guest revealed that they were earning up to £200 a day by begging on the streets of London.

Sam, a heroin and crack addict, revealed that she spent the money on drugs after taking in up to £1,400 a week from strangers in the capital.

The guest’s sister had branded her a “selfish addict” who had stolen her daughter’s birthday money in order to pay for drugs.

Host Jeremy was left shocked after she revealed how much money she had earned while sleeping on the streets as he questioned her on her addiction.

He said: “How do you buy your drugs love? Come On? £300 a day? Tell me about begging so when my career is over I’ve got an option.”

Sam replied: “It’s not £300 it’s about £200. I beg, I get about £150 to £200 a day begging. But that’s why I’m here, I don’t want to be like this anymore.”

Viewers of the show took to Twitter to share their shock over the amount of money Sam had earned.

One wrote: “£300 a day begging?! Woah, I see why there’s professional beggars now.”

A second added: “I’m in the wrong job. begging is the one!”

Jeremy lashed out at the embattled guest as he revealed she was rude towards show staff.

He said: “Why don’t you tell people how you treated the people on this show yesterday? How rude were you to the staff, the taxi driver, to everybody. Because you, little miss perfect, weren’t getting what you wanted. You were horrible, you tried to jump out of the taxi.”
