Love Island star Georgia Steel has revealed why she chose to do Celebs Go Dating, after being confirmed for the series 6 line-up.
Sam Bird’s ex failed to find true love in the villa last year, so will now leave it to dating agents Paul Carrick Brunson and Anna Williamson to find the man of her dreams.
Now, speaking exclusively to OK! online, Georgia has explained her decision to appear on another dating show so soon after Love Island.
She said: “I was head first into finding work. At this point there was loads of press about me and I thought I’ve had enough of people thinking that of me.
“I want to do something that shows the real Georgia. The first episode isn’t me, it is a persona I put across when I am scared and vulnerable.
“I make myself bigger and harder so I’m not vulnerable, but during my journey in here, it is broken down and you can maybe understand why I am like that.”
She also admitted Love Island may not have shown her in the best light due to editing, so she hopes to be seen differently this time around.
Dani Dyer’s pal explained: “You’ve got more control and can definitely learn from taking a breathing space.
“It is pressure standing in front of a camera and knowing it is going to be watched my millions of people, it is hard.”
She added: “Love Island was completely different cos the cameras are all around you.
“With this you’ve got more control about what you want people to see of you, because you want people to see all the good bits, not just the bad.”
Celebs Go Dating returns to E4 later this month.
