Dancing On Ice star Gemma Collins nearly quit the show “three or four times”, amid huge drama on the show.
From her on-air spat with Jason Gardiner, to backstage drama with co-stars and even a painful fall on the ice, the TOWIE star has been one of the most talked about contestants ever.
Now, her skating partner Matt Evers has revealed Gemma almost threw the towel in a number of times ahead of her exit on Sunday.
The professional skater had to talk James Argent’s girlfriend round a number of times, as she told him she couldn’t do it.
Speaking on Heart FM, Matt confirmed: “Gemma Collins did six weeks on Dancing On Ice.
“She was in the jungle [on I’m A Celebrity] for two-and-a-half days.
“There were quite a few times that I thought she was going to walk. Three or four times I thought ‘this could be it’.”
He added: “I always had to talk her down. If it wasn’t her nerves it was something else.
“There was a lot of conversation between us. A lot of 2am text messages saying ‘you can do this’.”
It comes after Gemma revealed on This Morning that it will take her up to six months to recover after her painful fall on the ice two weeks ago.
“I’ve got a six month recovery on my knees because I keep falling. I fall continuously,” she explained.
“But all of that is under the carpet. I had a brilliant time. As they say, it’s the knocks in life that make you stronger.”
