However, Zara revealed that she aims to be responsible about the products that she promotes to her huge online following.

She said: “I’d say probably sixty percent of the stuff that comes my way I turn down.

“Anything gambling related, alcohol related. I would never want to sell something that could be potentially harmful and dangerous to someone. No matter how much money you can get offered, there’s a responsibility.

“Social media makes products more real and more enticing to young people. I think people can start to see through really scripted advertisements that you might see on TV, whereas someone seeing how a dress might look while I’m out in a restaurant, shows them how it really looks.”

She continued to say: “These influencers are like friends to their followers, you know, they let them into their lives, they share their triumphs and their sorrows, and their day to day with these people and they build trust.

“And brands can use that trust as a really convincing way of putting their products into those lives.”

Adam Collard and Zara today announced their split after seven months together, with Zara saying she “wasn’t enough” for him and is “heartbroken” in an emotional statement.
