Gemma Collins has opened up about her elimination from Dancing On Ice after she was the latest celebrity to leave the ITV show alongside professional partner Matt Evers.
Speaking on Monday’s This Morning, the The Only Way Is Essex star told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield that it will take her up to six months to recover after her painful fall on the ice two weeks ago.
James Argent’s girlfriend was left battered and bruised after taking a tumble during the live show, but now says the injury has made her stronger.
“I’ve got a six month recovery on my knees because I keep falling. I fall continuously,” she explained.
“But all of that is under the carpet. I had a brilliant time. As they say, it’s the knocks in life that make you stronger.”
Gemma also insisted that she never believed she would win the skating competition.
“The judges, they are looking for someone to skate the Bolero and it was never going to be me,” she told viewers.
“But I did entertain the nation.”
Insisting she will stick to fitness after shedding two and a half stone in weight during the competition, the reality TV star said she was shocked that she lost “three tyres” she had around her middle.

“I will 100% keep up with the fitness because I feel so much better. I can do my shoes up,” she joked.
“I had three tyres on my middle and they’ve gone! I’ve actually lost 2.5 stone and the inches away. I was shocked, I couldn’t believe it. But just feeling fit, like walking up the stairs and being ok. I might take to the rink once a week but for enjoyment purposes. But I really do want to continue with my fitness.”
This Morning continues weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
