Loose Women legend Penny Lancaster was threatened with a “dirty f**king needle” in an incredible Channel 4 documentary which saw celebrities head into police roles.
Rod Stewart’s wife took the role as volunteer police officer for Channel 4’s Famous and Fighting Crime – which she starred in alongside the likes of Made In Chelsea star Jamie Laing and Katie Piper.
In scenes that aired on Monday night, shock footage emerged of Penny attempting to stop two suspects who ran from a taxi.
“Excuse me ladies!” Penny shouted, before the female suspects headed off in different directions – leaving Penny to run after one completely alone.
As Penny ran down the street, the woman in question said: “F**k off man, or I’ll stab you with a dirty f**king needle.”
After the police finally caught the suspects, Penny added: “She said if you come anywhere closer to me I’m going to pull a needle.”
“I didn’t like that”, Penny said, as she began to get emotional, going on to say: “I was absolutely terrified.”
Speaking on Loose Women recently, Penny revealed her other half Rod had suffered sleepless nights over her appearance on the show.
Penny said: “When he watched me head off into the unknown each shift, he was worried.
“I’d come home from a long shift at four in the morning and he couldn’t sleep until I got home safely.
“He did begin to worry when he heard some of the stories I had to deal with.”
But she added: “I think he thought I might be back at the Yard dealing with stuff from afar, but as you’ll see I got stuck in, which made him very nervous.”
