Dancing On Ice: Brian McFadden ‘suffers bad fall’

Brian McFadden has suffered a fall ahead of his Dancing On Ice debut  [ITV ]

Dancing On Ice star Brian McFadden has reportedly suffered a bad fall just days before he’s set to make his debut on the ITV show.

The Westlife star’s partner Alex Murphy revealed that the father of two has been left “really anxious” after taking a bad tumble on the ice.

Alex told The Sun Online: “We had a fall, it was pretty bad.

“He was really anxious after that but I told him not to worry and hopefully it’s out of his system.”

Brian received hard words from judge Jason Gardiner following a group routine, but Alex is feeling hopeful about her partner’s moves on the ice.

“He has come on drastically from when he first started and could hardly stand on the ice. He’s also lost weight from all the training, but he doesn’t think so because he still eats burgers,” she said.

It comes after Alex revealed that viewers will see another side to Brian on the show.

Alex and Brian will take to the ice this weekend for their first performance of the series, alongside others including Melody Thornton and Richard Blackwood.

Speaking exclusively to OK! online, Alex revealed fans may be surprised by him.

She explained that whilst he’s a “joker”, fans would see a more “serious” side to him when he takes to the ice.

Alex revealed of whether he might surprise fans: “I hope so, I really think he will. Everyone thinks Brian is the joker, he’s so funny. All day long we laugh together but we’re doing more of a serious number next week, and I think it will be a surprise for some people.

“To see a more serious side to Brian, and not the goofy one running around making animal noises…it will be nice to see he can be serious.”
