Gemma Collins and her partner Matt Evers are due to take to the ice when Dancing On Ice returns to screens on Sunday evening.
But judging by a new clip taken at rehearsals for the ITV series, it wasn’t all plain sailing for Gemma and Matt as the The Only Way Is Essex star can be seen claiming she’s quitting the show.
Things take a turn for the pair as Matt suggests the pair make their debut to the Vengaboys’ classic We Like To Party (The Vengabus), to which a shocked Gemma responds: “I’m not coming out to that, are you joking?
As Matt laughs and asks: “The Vengaboys?”, Gemma responds by defiantly claiming: “I’m leaving the show. Is this a joke? I’m leaving the show.’
Trying to reason with her, Matt explains: “They’ll have all the other pros behind us, I’ll be the driver, it’ll be like a big production,” but Gemma replies: “No. I’m not coming out to that song.”
The footage ends, however, with Gemma practising to the song, suggesting Matt managed to convince her to use it after all.
The dramatic clip comes after Gemma confirmed that Keeping Up With The Kardashians star and Kim Kardashian West’s best friend Jonathan Cheban will be flying over to the UK for her first performance on Dancing On Ice.
The duo first met while starring on Celebrity Big Brother together back in 2016 and have maintained a close friendship ever since, with Jonathan even making his debut on The Only Way Is Essex last year.
Now, Gemma has confirmed than Jonathan will be cheering her on from the audience when she hits the ice with partner Matt on Sunday.
Gemma announced the news as she uploaded a video to Instagram of the pair singing along to Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5 while travelling in a car.
She captioned the clip: “HONOURED that the @foodgod is flying in for my first performance on @dancingonice.”
The reality TV regular added that she’s starting to get apprehensive about her debut on the ice, admitting: “@themattevers I’M getting so NERVOUS NOW.”
Dancing On Ice begins on Sunday 6 January on ITV.
