In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

  1. I do not understand why people commenting on how she looks and her clothes and not what she is sayin. She has the courage n guts to wear what resonates with her. Those commenting such ask yourself do you have the courage/guts to be yourself?

  2. I am on fire! I can relate to those days! You just want to burst with "I don't know what". Like you wanna birth something. I am definitely pregnant. But in this case, I get to set the delivery date. I need to start writing that book. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

  3. I feel so inspired by this talk. And I was just looking for something to practice my listening. In Venezuela, if you are not lively, talkative and sociable, there is something wrong with you. And while growing up I have tried to change even when I felt uncomfortable, but i am sadly the opposite to the average Venezuelan prefering to watch a movie instead of going drinking or remaining silent instead of talking when I dont have anyning useful to say. But from now on, I will work on being truly myself, because i kind of knew that was the right thing to do. Thanks a lot 🙂

  4. When I was 16 and in highschool I was so worried about the opinion of others, I cared so much to make others like me and have their acceptance that, like Jim Carey said, I became invisible. Then one day, the person whose opinion I feared and cared for the most ridiculized me infront of all my classmates. Just then I realized I deserved better. I went in and found my authenticity. I made the decision to finish high school on my own at home and ended up entering college at 17 and a year earlier than my former classmates. I followed me and something I never thought could happen, did. Lets follow ourselves, for greatness lies there.

  5. I learned that there are also different mirrors in the world that we can look at and find ourselves. for example the reaction of people in reaction of our behavior. in fact people around us can be our individual mirror.

  6. Sometimes i love myself and be confident 10000% and other times i don't accept myself at all ..there's really weird contradiction i don't even understand my opinion
