  1. Thanks for trying this out! I had commented on your other video with the painted background about trying this because the painting was Just too much work for me to try. I appreciate you showing how it turned out and potential problems that can occur. I know people are always making suggestions of how things can be done differently but they can't anticipate how it would work because there really is a technique to everything. Ways to do it that help get the best results and an idea is not always as easy to acconplish as it sounds. I have learned this from experience. Things almost never turn out as well as i anticipate!

  2. If you spritz your paper with a water bottle and get it damp before applying it to the wood and mod podge, you won't get any wrinkles! I used to use Mod Podge in my business all the time.

  3. This came out great Shannon! Also, wanted to let you know I received my “Our Love Story” sign today, and it’s perfect!!!! Thank you so much!! It’s going to be part of my Christmas gift to my son and daughter in law. They’re going to love it. Thanks again! ????????????

  4. Ahhhhh Shannon this turned out super cute!!! I got this massive roll of red/black buffalo check from Walmart and this would be a great project to use it on! Tfs!!!

  5. Shannen, that turned out fantastic, right up my alley. Love Buffalo Ck on anything. Your sign truly looks old, like it was found in Great Grandma's attic. TYFS. Luv n Hugs.

  6. Great idea about the wrapping paper. faster than all the strips you had to paint for the Buffalo Plaid. I guess it is the instant gratification, the paper workes for me. Thanks for the 12 days of Christmas.
