Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have faced rumours they’re not on the best of terms in recent weeks.
The Duchess of Cambridge, 36, and the Duchess of Sussex, 37, faced reports recently that they “don’t really get on”, and that even Meghan and Prince Harry’s plans to move out of Kensington Palace was was partly because of tensions between the pair.
On Friday, The Sun reported that Kate had told Meghan not to berate members of her team at Kensington Palace – and this was the reason for the pair’s fall-out.
A source told the publication: “Her and Kate fell out when she b******ed Kate’s staff.
“It’s a tricky situation but it was a one-off and they are determined to maintain a positive relationship even though they are obviously very different in their approach.”
Now, the Palace have taken the unusual step of responding to the claims – with a spokesperson saying: “This never happened”.
OK! online have contacted a representative for Kensington Palace for comment.
Meghan and Kate have attended several royal engagements together, and look more than happy in each other’s company.
However, Meghan’s Hollywood persona is said to have shaken up the royal family with some claiming it has upset the balance in the household.
Harry and Meghan confirmed the news they are moving to Frogmore Cottage, on the estate of Windsor Castle, last month.
A spokesperson for the couple said: “Windsor is a very special place for their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate.
“The Duke and Duchess’s office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace.”
They couple have lived in Nottingham Cottage, on the grounds of Kensington Palace, since they got engaged last year, but the couple are ready to start a family home of their own.
According to royal sources at The Sun, the couple were first planning to move into one of the main apartments on the grounds of Kensington Palace, but there “has been a bit of tension between the brothers.”
The source said: “Now Harry and Meghan don’t want to live next to William and Kate and want to strike out on their own.
“They need more room and hope Frogmore Cottage will be ready in time for when they have the baby.”
