Oritsé, who found fame on The X Factor in boy band JLS, has pleaded not guilty to raping a woman in a hotel in Wolverhampton in 2016.
The 31 year old singer was present at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Thursday and spoke to confirm his name, age, date of birth and nationality.
Oritsé of Croydon, South London denied the alleged offence.
His co-defendendant Jamien Nagadhana, 31, from Hounslow, London is charged with assault by penetration in connection with the same alleged incident.
The charge follows on from police being called to a four star hotel in Wolverhampton in December 2016 the morning after Oritsé performed at The Gorgeous Club in West Midlands.

Oritsé and Jamien were charged by police on 14 September this year.
After the claims were made, Oritsé’s management issued a statement refuting the allegation.
The statement from 10 Worlds Music UK read: “Oritsé denies the allegations against him. The matter is in the hands of the police and it would be totally wrong for us to comment any further.”
The band member was photographed outside the court today dressed in a camel coloured roll neck and checked blazer, he wore his hair tire up of his face.
Fans of the star waited for him outside the court and he stopped to pose for photos with them.
