For weeks they’ve been entertaining the nation and keeping us all on the edge of our seats.
Now, Bodyguard stars Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes could be set to join the biggest show on television – Strictly Come Dancing.
A fan tweeted about actress Keeley and her on-screen lover Richard, who plays David Budd, making an appearance on the Christmas special of Strictly, and the star, who plays Julia Montague in the Bodyguard, replied.
The fan tweeted: “‘Can we get Keeley Hawes and Richard Madden to do the tango for the Christmas #Strictly.’
The 42 year old brunette beauty replied to the tweet saying: “I don’t see why not.”
Keeley’s statement sent Twitter users into a frenzy and they flooded the feed with suggestions for songs for the duo.
One fan tweeted: “Can the dance music be Whitney Houston’s:’I will always love you?’”
Another suggested: “I was also thinking they could dance to Elton John’s ‘I’m Still Standing,’ but it depends on what happens in the finale tonight.”
Other viewers pointed out that Strictly Come Dancing features celebrities partnered with professional dancers.
“Unlikely; celebrities dance with professionals. They won’t have two celebrities dancing together”, chimed one.
As somebody else replied: “It’s the most successful bbc drama this decade . I think the beeb can make up the rules”.
Meanwhile, one of the people that trains the dancers on Strictly offered their services to the pair also, tweeting: “I could teach you both..I train some of the Strictly Pro dancers. We could do the Argentine Tango from Scent of a Woman.”
